Why does it matter what’s next for Marvel and DC?

Five years after its first film, and five years after the release of The Flash, the long-awaited sequel to The Flash was finally released in 2017.

And as the DC Comics adaptation has been gaining momentum ever since, the question is, will it continue to gain steam as the series goes on?

The answer is definitely yes.

Marvel has now confirmed the next DC Extended Universe film will be titled The Flash: War Games.

As of March, the film had been set for release on March 25, 2020.

In its place, the studio has announced a sequel titled The DC Universe: Flashpoint.

Both titles are set for a release date of July 20, 2021.

War Games, written by Chris Terrio and directed by Barry Sonnenfeld, centers around Wally West (Will Arnett) and his journey into the DC Universe.

The film will reunite the cast of The LEGO Movie, Justice League: War, Justice Society: Origins, and the Justice League Unlimited films.

The Flash will reunites actor Andrew Kreisberg, director David Nutter, and writer Scott Snyder for a new, action-packed Flash movie.
