Jeb Bush to appear at Texags forums

A former Texas governor is expected to appear on the forums for the nation’s most influential gun-rights group.

Jeb Bush will appear at the Texags Forum in Houston this week to discuss gun safety issues, according to a release.

Bush, a Republican, was in Houston for the first time on Wednesday and has been a frequent guest at the Texas-based Gun Owners of America (GOA).

He previously hosted the GOA forum in Washington, D.C., and hosted the forum in Iowa.

Bush, who served as governor of Texas from 1993 to 1999, is the son of former President George H.W. Bush.

He previously hosted GOA events in New York City and Las Vegas, according the GOAC website.

Bush’s appearance comes as the National Rifle Association (NRA) continues to battle the gun control movement and as the Second Amendment Movement (SAMS) is gaining momentum.
