My daughter is in urgent care for a fractured ankle, after being treated at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
The 29-year-old woman was treated by a doctor on Tuesday night.
It is believed the fracture occurred when she was walking on the street, but the doctor said she had broken her ankle on the way.
The woman is being kept at the hospital, but her condition is expected to improve.
In a Facebook post, the woman’s family thanked the public for their support and thanked everyone for their help.
“Our family and friends have been really touched by the outpouring of love and support from the community, particularly our community members,” she wrote.
“We appreciate the messages of support and the love and kindness expressed on social media.”
The best way to thank you all is to post on social networking sites or in person with the person who cared for your child and we thank you for all the support.
“Ms Wills’ mother is on holiday in Europe and she has not been heard from since.
