New York Jets defensive end Jelani Jenkins set to miss 4-6 weeks with groin injury

New York Giants defensive end Jahleel Addae will miss 4 to 6 weeks with a groin injury, according to a source informed of the injury.

Jenkins was a key player on the Giants’ defense last season, recording seven sacks and 10 tackles for loss.

Addae missed the first six games of the season because of a sprained right ankle, but he returned to action in Week 10 and recorded nine tackles for a loss in the win over the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Jets’ defensive line also needs help on the offensive line, as left tackle Kelvin Beachum is recovering from a knee injury.

They have to replace right tackle Mike Pouncey, who is in the concussion protocol.
